Personalize your Wedding with Labels
- Mar 13, 2013
For those who were recently engaged and are planning for your upcoming nuptials, you are probably trying to think of small touches you can make to set your event apart from the rest. Consider using custom labels at your reception to enhance the theme of your wedding and make it truly your own. Check out these great ideas for where you can use personalized labels.
Wedding favors. Many couples like to provide guests with wedding favors, special mementos that friends and family can take home with them to remember the occasion. Some great ideas include candy boxes at each of the tables. Use a small custom label with a monogram to seal each of the boxes. If you have a candy table, consider placing labels on the candy bags or on the table for guests to use to seal the bags. Or, if you prefer, you could pre-fill the bags with candy and leave them sealed for guests at their place settings.
Décor. You may not like the idea of using labels as décor at your wedding. However, when used in the right locations, custom labels can add a special touch of personalization to the table. If you have any glass candle holders on the table, this can be a great place to place a label. You could also place custom wine labels on wine bottles for guests to serve themselves. Family members can take the customized wine bottles home with them after the event as a special keepsake. If you aren’t serving wine, consider getting soda bottles (something similar to the Jones Soda) and placing your own personalized labels onto the bottles.
Guest book. I think very few really have a traditional guest book these days. Many opt to have guests sign a matted photograph of one of their engagement pictures. However, if you don’t have engagement photos or you want to do something different, consider asking guests to sign custom labels on wine bottles. You could also consider labeling your wine bottles for upcoming anniversaries (maybe year one, year five, year 10, and year 20) and ask guests to sign the wine labels. This was what I did at my own wedding (see the picture above) and not only did it offer a unique touch, my guests had more space to write words of wisdom. The bottles made a great addition to the gift table during the reception.
