What labels should I use for name badges?

Every organization has visitors that need to be tracked. Schools have visitors each day who must provide information and be supplied with the correct name badge. Churches provide visitors with name badges so members will recognize them and introductions can be made more easily.

However, we often get the question from customers: Which labels are best to use for name badges?

While there a wide variety of options available, there are three options that we generally recommend for name badges.

Name badge with adhesive.

The School Check in Compatible ID Badge Labels are available in both white and yellow. These labels provide a large surface area for writing. However, they were also designed to be compatible with School Check In software, and are compatible with the School Check In ID Badge. If so desired, LabelValue provides custom printing where you can have your name, logo and address printed on the label in up to three colors. This label will work perfectly with all of the Dymo LabelWriter printers.

Tag stock for name tag holder

If you don’t have a name badge holder but still prefer to use a non-adhesive badge, you can use the non-adhesive name badge that measures 2-7/16” x 4-3/16” and has a removable clip hole for use with badge clips (just be sure that your badge clip will fit the hole).

Appointment cards.

This option can be a bit misleading since this product was designed as an appointment card, however, this product is commonly sold for use as a name badge to be placed in a name badge holder. The LabelValue Brand 30374 Dymo Compatible appointment cards are 2” x 3-1-2” and contain 300 appointment cards per roll. They are non-adhesive and are durable, made of card stock. They are fully compatible with any of the Dymo LabelWriter printers.
