The Many Uses for Dymo D1 Tapes

We often talk about the Dymo LabelWriter printers as being the Rolls Royce of label printers. But the reality is that each of our label printers has a time and a place, a purpose to which they are best applied. As much as you love your Dymo LabelWriter, it won’t be as useful for marking cables as other labels. For that reason, I thought today would be a great opportunity to talk about another type of label: LabelManager Labels, otherwise known as Dymo D1 tapes.

There are three types of D1 tapes:

Regular Tape. This is the tape used by most Dymo LabelManagers. They’re useful for labeling files, products, membership cards, mason jars…anything you could possibly want to label. These labels are great for keeping your home and office organized. They come in a wide variety of background and font colors to meet your particular needs.

Flexible Nylon. Unlike the regular D1 tapes, the flexible nylon tapes are durable to withstand the wear and tear of rough surfaces. They are designed work well on curved surfaces like cables, pipes, ducts and tools. They also use a durable adhesive to keep them stuck in place.

Permanent Polyester. These labels are designed to be water resistant and hold up against the wear and tear that occurs over time. They are commonly used on a variety of items, from personal belongings to warning labels on products.
