This product comes with 1,000 Labels per roll and are produced according to specifications released by the state of Connecticut.
What is an Opioid?
Opioids are a group of pain-relieving medicines that are made from poppy plants and/or laboratories. They’re known as pain-relievers in forms such as: morphine, fentanyl, codeine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, and more. Opioid medicines attach to opioid receptors in the brain cells, blocking pain throughout the body.
Why are these labels required?
The Prescription Monitoring Program is responsible for collecting data into the Connecticut Prescription Monitoring and Reporting System, which can be used by healthcare providers and pharmacists to prescribe the right treatment for their patients. Under this program all pharmacists and medical providers are required to label prescription opioids with a bright orange fluorescent warning label stating “DANGER TO CHILDREN KEEP OUT OF REACH.” Using FDA opioid drug warning labels serve as a clear and direct reminder to keep those powerful medications away from children, reducing the risk of accidental ingestion and potential harm and/or death.
