Automatic Label Recognition

The LabelWriter 550 series of printers work only with Authentic DYMO LW Labels. Authentic DYMO LW labels support Automatic Label Recognition™, which allows DYMO software to receive information about the labels, such as which size label is in your printer and how many labels remain on the roll.

The new Automatic Label Recognition feature recognizes and displays the label size, type and number of labels remaining. Your Dymo LabelWriter 550 will never run out of labels because the software will alert you before you run out. Giving you a heads up warning it's time to order more labels online. It also ensures that the Dymo 550 only works with authentic Dymo branded labels, that contain an RFID chip on the inner core.
