Section 581.217 Florida Statute gives the Florida Department of Agriculture regulatory authority over Hemp for Human Consumption. The CBD labeling guidelines in America are regulated by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
 

CBD Label Requirements Guide

 
Below are the main requirements to make your CBD labels compatible with Florida's CBD laws.
 
1. All hemp extracts must be third-party-tested. The labels must contain QR codes that include verbatim statements, specific ingredients, allergy information, strength, and dosage information
 
2.Your CBD products must have a label on the outside box and container.
 
3. Your packaging must also limit exposure to light as best as possible.
 
4. Your CBD products cannot be over the maximum amount of THC.
 
5. Your hemp products are subject to testing by the State of Florida's laboratories.
 
6. Online CBD stores are required to check that the manufacturer they get it from is permitted to manufacture CBD.
 
7. The product identity must be different than the brand name
 
8. Your CBD product must have a list of ingredients, in order of greatest to least.
 
9. Your business name and address must be on all labels and packaging.
 
10. Your cbd product must contain the amount on the label. Such as fl oz or ml.
 
11. Unless you are exempt, you will also need a nutritional facts panel.
 
12. Serving per container and the serving size.
 
13. The labels and packaging must not contain claims that the product is intended to diagnose, cure, treat or prevent disease.
 

CBD & Hemp Extract Rules

 
Below are the requirements for selling CBD and hemp extracts. Your CBD bottle and containers must include a scannable QR barcode on the label that shows the lab results online. When scanned it displays the independent third party testing laboratory results. This is for traceability to dispose of the entire batch if found to be contaminated.
 
The CBD labels must have manufacturer or distributor details on the label. The ingredients must be listed on the labels. The container must include the batch number. Your containers will also need to have the expiration date label. The CBD label must also include the milligrams for each marketed cannabinoid per serving. An Allergy warning on the label is also required. If you are making a required statement, it must be verbatim.
