4 Easy Ways to Thank Your Customers

We all work really hard to maintain positive sentiment toward our brands. Producing a high-quality product, getting orders out the door quickly and accurately, providing the best customer service we can…these things all ensure our customers go away happy and keep coming back for more. However, there is often one simple thing that we forget that could have a huge impact on brand perception and customer loyalty.

Stopping to say “Thank You.”

Salespeople know that the occasional personally written thank you can go a long way toward making customers feel appreciated. However, too many of us forget to take a moment to recognize our customers AFTER a transaction. So how do you say “thank you” And at what points are there opportunities to show your appreciation?

Newsletter Sign Up. After a customer, or potential customer, signs up to receive emails from your company, it’s important that you say thank you in the confirmation message. Think of this first email as a handshake and thank them for joining your community and engaging with you.

Social Media Platforms. Pay attention to what’s being said about your brand on social media channels. Address dissatisfied customers immediately and always say thank you for shared content and positive tweets or posts made about your business.

Order Confirmation. Most people say thank you in their confirmation emails. However, is your's a bland message that sounds robotic or one that sounds sincere and makes your customers feel truly appreciated? Have someone design a thank you that is not only sincere but also visually appealing so it won’t get lost in the order confirmation.

Say Thank You Just Because. Segment your list and keep track of information like sign updates. Send thank you emails on the anniversaries of the time your customers actually became your customers. These extra little touches will go a long way towards making your customers feel appreciated.

Use Thank You stickers on the outside of envelopes or on invoices to make your customers know you appreciate their business.
