Inspiration for Wedding Favors: Using Custom Labels

Custom labelsWhile much of the country is thinking about getting their kids back in school, there are many out there who are in the middle of planning their springtime weddings. It’s easy to get carried away when planning your wedding, despite the best of intentions. Everyone wants their wedding day to be special and unique. However, the little touches that make your wedding unique don’t have to cost a fortune. One way to add that unique touch is by personalizing your wedding with labels. Check out these great ideas from The Knot for using custom labels:

Bubbles. Wedding guests used to throw rice at the happy couple as they left the church or ceremony location. Today, however, couples often opt to have guests blow bubbles instead. Add a special touch to those favors by adding a custom label with the couple’s name or monogram.

Wine Bottles. Custom wine bottle labels add a special touch to the wedding, not to mention a keepsake that family members can treasure always. Wine bottle labels can feature the couple’s names and date of the event, an engagement photo, or just simply a monogram.

Olive oil. Another great gift idea for guests are bottles of olive oil with beautiful custom labels. Guests can use the bottles to decorate their shelves for years.

Charitable Favors. Some couples would prefer to make a donation rather than spend money on favors. If you do decide to go down this path, print a label for your wine bottles that explains that in lieu of favors, donations were made to a specific charity that is close to the couple’s heart. You can also place similar labels on cards that can be placed on individual tables or at place mats.

Water Bottles. Water bottles are commonly handed out at wedding receptions. Use them to decorate your tables by placing beautifully designed custom labels on the bottles.

Cigars. Provide guests with handcrafted cigars to enjoy during the wedding. The cigar bands can be customized with the couple’s names and wedding date.

Decorative Boxes. Place a decorative box with a custom tag at each place setting. You can fill the boxes with candy and chocolate for guests to take home. If you don’t want the extra effort of tying on tags, create a custom label with a monogram, a quote or poem, the date or the couple’s names on the top of the box.
